CSP WrassleCast Hall of Fame Induction: Ron Simmons

As of this post, you’re probably aware that the WWF announced Ron Simmons to their Hall of Fame for 2012. While becoming a WWF Hall of Famer is a big deal and a prestigious honor, what you might not know is that we scooped them by 24 hours here on the Cold Slither Podcast.

During Sunday night’s CSP WrassleCast covering WWF’s Elimination Chamber event, fellow WrassleCast all-star Brandon Murphy broke the news that we will now reveal once again below…


The Cold Slither Podcast Crew and the WrassleCast All-Stars proudly announce the induction of  the first ever African-American WCWHeavyweight Champion Ron Simmons into the Cold Slither WrassleCast Hall of Fame Class of the year Two Thousand and Twelve.

Ron Simmons is the second inductee into our CSP WrassleCast hall of fame, joining former tag champion and Harlem Heat brother Stevie Ray.

Ron Simmons teamed with Butch Reed to form the devastating "Doom" in the WCW.

Upon arriving in the WWF, Simmons was known as Farooq and started the faction called the "Nation of Domination"
Simmons later teamed up with John Bradshaw Layfield (JBL) to form the tag team "The Acolytes". They later became known as hired guns the A.P.A. It was here where Simmons started saying "Damn!"
