G. I. Joe: Retaliation Movie Trailer

The Rock's ready to take on the role of Roadblock

G. I. Joe: Retaliation is the sequel to the 2009′s G. I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra.  I’ll admit, I didn’t have high hopes for The Rise of Cobra.  But once I realized not to take it seriously, I enjoyed it for its humor and action.  The perfect summer blockbuster movie.  Which I tend to enjoy.

I have read articles stating how Retaliation would have a more serious tone than its predecesor.  Gone is Marlon Wayans and in comes Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Bruce Willis.  Channing Tatum returns to play “Duke”, but from the looks of the trailer below, I’d guess that he bites the bullet early on.

After viewing the trailer I have to say I’m psyched for Retaliation.  I like the addition of The Rock to the cast. I’ll be pissed if they really do off Duke, who was one of my favorite characters and toys growing up.  So will you be heading to theaters to see G. I. Joe: Retaliation next year?  Let us know in the Comments section below.

  1. I wasn’t much of a fan of the first GI Joe movie and still have my doubts about this sequel, but I will say that from what I’ve seen from this trailer, it looks pretty bad-ass!

I know the Joes left are Roadblock, Snake Eyes, Jinx, Joe Colton and Flint, but who is the woman? Is that Scarlett, Cover Girl or perhaps Lady Jaye?

  2. wait, a quick google search reveals that it is Lady Jaye, played by Adrianne Palicki of Friday Night Lights, who was cast in the never to air Wonder Woman pilot earlier this year…

Whoever she is, she looked pretty hot in the trailer. Is she the same chick wearing the red dress and red hair in one quick scene?

  3. But will it maintain continuity with this new cartoon on Hub? They seem to have changed everything. It’s like every media form is an elseworld of some sort

    1. Timdogg says:

That’s true. And it does seem to be borrowing from G.I. Joe: Renegades on The Hub. Which also is stealing from A-Team. “Group of military men framed for a crime the didn’t commit. And now on the run from the law.”
